School-aged youth (K-6) can join us for a unique day camp when USD 383 is not in session. Campers will learn about the plants and the animals from their own backyard to around the world. They will also have the chance to travel back in time to explore the history, geology, and fossils that make their home unique. Two grade-specific camps offered in full and half-day sessions; one for grades K-2 and another for grades 3-6. The age of the child attending determines the camp location.Children may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. each session in which they are enrolled. Pick up for half-day registration is between 12:00 p.m. and 12:15 p.m., and pick up for full-day registration is between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Day registrants must bring their own sack lunch. Al participants must have a completed release form available at www.flinthillsdiscovery.org
Sunset Zoo Adventure Camp for kids when USD 383 is not in session. Kids in kindergarten through 7th grade will enjoy a summer full of arts, crafts, games, swimming, special events and excursions at this KDHE-licensed day camp. The Flint Hills Discovery Center continues its program into the summer to provide a unique experience for kids year-round.Choose the appropriate camp based on the grade level completed in spring 2017. Children must have completed Kindergarten for the K-2 camp.Enrollment is taken on first-come, first-served basis. Students who are enrolled will receive confirmation by email.
